One week on

So, one week on from Explore Sweden.  I have pretty much finished my report, which will go in the latest UK Adventure Sports magazine, but only after some heacy editing, i was asked for 2500 words, finished off at 4500! oops.

So much happened in the race though, it is difficult to put it all down without taking up a lot of words.

I have been out a couple of times this week training, but the body is still tired.  A great ride over Honister and Newlands Pass with team mate Chez Frost on Tuesday in great weather was a welcome break from sitting in the house.  The climbs were tough, especially as the gear ratio on my road bike is not really designed for such steep hills.

Yesterday i went out for a wee run, my knees are still a bit sore, so i’m going easy on them, but i need to get back into some good running training so i can keep the weight down and get ready for the Coast to Coast in August.

Up in Edinburgh for the weekend now for my best mates stag weekend, so should be great fun, it’ll be a respectable one, and a great chance to catch up with lots of friends.  The Edinburgh Rat Race is also happening, so will see some mates doing that too, its odd not to be taking any part in it, the first time in 7 years, but i’m glad to not have to run 30km round the streets on saturday night.

Below are a couple of pics from Sweden that were taken by some pro photographers, just to give you a glimpse of what we were doing.
